SPRING-222 Silica Ro Antiscalant is a specific Anti-scalant for Reverse Osmosis membrane feed water effective in controlling deposition of inorganic scales, levels of silica and metal oxides. SPRING-222 a Silica Ro Antiscalant helps in control of silica scales and ideally suited for increasing membrane life and reduces unscheduled shutdowns for cleaning operations.

Soluble silica exists as a weak acid, so the higher the pH, the more silica will exist as anionic ions. In deionized water, this makes silica more soluble with increasing pH, as the silica ions repel each other and can no longer polymerize. When there are positively charged ions in the water, like sodium or calcium, the repulsion between the silica molecules are reduced so they can polymerize significantly even at high pH

CHEMICAL DOSING AND CONTROL

SPRING- 222 is normally dosed continuously prior to the final cartridge filter. It should be fed by chemical dosing pump from a dilution tank or direct from the drum into the feed water line.

HANDLING & STORAGE PRECAUTIONS

SPRING- 222 is safe to handle but use of safety goggles hand gloves is recommended. In case of contact with skin wash with water. Keep in cool and dark place for storage. It is stable under normal storage conditions.

SPRING- 222 is available in 10 or 20 kg HDPE carboy.
