SPRING– 444- REVERSE OSMOSIS CLEANING CHEMICALS (Acidic)

Product Details

RO Membrane Cleaner – SPRING-444 is a good general-purpose reverse osmosis (RO) membrane cleaner designed to support the cleaning of acid insoluble sulphate of calcium, barium and strontium, as well as calcium fluoride. It is effective in removing iron oxides and hydroxides as well as calcium carbonate, though SPRING-444 is preferred for these scalants

During normal operation, reverse osmosis and other membranes can become fouled, which greatly reduces the efficiency of the system. Deposits build up on the membrane until they cause a reduction in normalized permeate flow, increases in differential pressure and losses in salt rejection. The effects of fouling can lead to poor water quality, loss in production, unscheduled downtime and premature membrane replacement.

A regular maintenance and cleaning programme can provide a significant return on investment by extending system run time, preventing membrane degradation, maintaining lower feed pressures and extending the membrane’s life. SPRING-444 is highly effective when used in combination with high pH cleaners such as SPRING-333 to help remove organic substances and microbial slimes.

Key Features and Benefits

CLEANING PROCEDURE
  • Prepare the stock solution of SPRING- 444 using DM water or permeate water only.
  • Use dilution ratio of 2-5% in proportion of the total volume of cleaning system.
  • Flush the membranes using permeate water or DM water.
  • Circulate at the flow rate recommended by the membrane manufacture depending upon the membrane size. Pass already prepared cleaning solution through membranes, Circulate the cleaning solution for 1 – 2 hr. If the solution becomes turbid, prepare fresh solution and re-circulate through membrane.
  • Soak the membrane for 30 – 60 minute.
  • In multi pass systems, best results will be achieved if each pass is cleaned individually.
  • Drain out the cleaning solution and flush the system with DM or permeate water.
  • Restart the plant.
There may be some variation in cleaning procedure depending on system conditions
HANDLING & STORAGE PRECAUTIONS

SPRING- 444 is safe to handle but safety goggles and hand gloves are to be used. In case of contact with skin, wash with copious amount of water. In case of ingestion induce omitting and get medical attention. Please keep in cool and dark place. It is stable under normal storage conditions.
