SPRING– 333- REVERSE OSMOSIS CLEANING CHEMICALS (Alkaline)

Product Details

Membrane Cleaner SPRING-333 is a liquid blend of dispersants and organic builders with an amphoteric surfactant specially developed as an alkaline cleaning formulation for removing organic debris and biofouling from RO and UF membranes.

During normal operation, reverse osmosis and other membranes can become fouled, which greatly reduces the efficiency of the system. Deposits build up on the membrane until they cause a reduction in normalized permeate flow, increases in differential pressure and losses in salt rejection. The effects of fouling can lead to poor water quality, loss in production, unscheduled downtime and premature membrane replacement.

A regular maintenance and cleaning programme can provide a significant return on investment by extending system run time, preventing membrane degradation, maintaining lower feed pressures and extending the membrane’s life. SPRING-333 should always be used as recommended by the membrane manufacturer with respect to pH, temperature, flow rate and differential pressure

Product benefits

  • Suitable for use with polyamide thin film composite and cellulose acetate membranes.
  • Concentrated liquid product for ease of use.
  • Effective cleaner, for removing organic deposits from membranes.
  • Has a wide range of applications and compatibility with many other cleaners.
  • Has efficacy in reducing biofouling.

CLEANING PROCEDURE

  • Prepare the stock solution of SPRING- 333 using DM water or permeate water only.
  • Use dilution ration of 2% to 4% in proportion of the total volume of cleaning system.
  • Flush the membranes using permeate water or DM water.
  • Circulate at the flow rate recommended by the membrane manufacture depending upon the membrane size. Pass already prepared cleaning solution through membranes, Circulate the cleaning solution for 1 – 2 hr. If the solution becomes turbid, prepare fresh solution and re-circulate through membrane.
  • Soak the membrane for 30 – 60 minute.
  • In multi pass systems, best results will be achieved if each pass is cleaned individually.
  • Drain out the cleaning solution and flush the system with DM or permeate water.
  • Restart the plant.

There may be some variation in cleaning procedure depending on system condition.

HANDLING & STORAGE PRECAUTIONS

SPRING- 333 is safe to handle but use of safety goggles and hand gloves are recommended. In case of contact with skin, wash with copious amount of water. Please keep in cool and dark place. It is stable under normal storage conditions.
